FOR POTTER COUNTY COMMISSIONER
mEET jEFF
My name is Jeff Raef, and I am asking for your support for Potter County Commissioner Precinct 2.
This isn’t just a county to me, it is home. I am a lifelong resident of Potter County. I grew up here, went to school here. I’m a proud graduate of Palo Duro High School, and attended Amarillo College.
This community is in my DNA. My roots run deep, anchored by the legacy of my grandfather, who built his business right here on the legendary Route 66. For 30 years, my wife, Tammie, and I have built our life and raised our three children right here in Northeast Amarillo. Our commitment is generational, and the future of Potter County is tied to our own. When I look at the challenges facing us—and the costly, slow moving leadership we’ve seen—I know what's required: a commissioner who doesn't just talk, but who gets the job done while respecting your hard earned money.
After more than 25 years as a small business owner in Potter County, operating from the same buildings that once housed my grandfather's business, I closed the doors and transitioned my career. That extensive experience instilled in me crucial values: discipline, reliability, integrity, and honesty. Because every dollar was my own, I learned firsthand the necessity of maximum efficiency and the absolute requirement to produce results without wasting a cent.
Now, as a professional truck driver, I travel the roads of Potter County daily. This new vantage point allows me to see firsthand what is happening across the county and connect directly with the people who make this area great.
Let me be clear: I am a strong fiscal conservative. I will bring that same accountability to the Commissioner's Court. We can fund our county needs through efficiency and prioritization. My commitment is driven by conservative Christian values and a deep dedication to service. As a lifelong NRA member, I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and your constitutional rights. But freedom requires security.
That’s why I will make supporting law enforcement a top priority. We must restore the deputy incentives and retention programs, building safe neighborhoods and retaining dependable law enforcement.
We must immediately end the disastrous Potter County Jail crisis. The current, slow, and costly leadership is failing, resulting in continuous failed inspections and wasted taxpayer dollars. We must cut the red tape, take immediate, decisive action to expand capacity, and get this built now. No more excuses.
And finally, we must protect the small-town values and unique way of life we cherish. I will be the dedicated voice who defends the character of Potter County and ensures local interests always come first.
I am ready to put my decades of real-world, results-driven experience to work for you. I will bring conservative leadership, fiscal responsibility, and the commitment to service this county deserves.
I am Jeff Raef, and I humbly ask for your trust, your support, and your vote for Potter County Commissioner. Let’s stop the waste, protect our values, and get things done together!
Thank you, and God bless.
